Why Do So Many Members Mention Their Occupation & Qualifications In Their Stories? I Am Not Interested In What You Did But Who You ARE Now!!
I have a 65 year old body ravaged by Adult Onset Epilepsy and late stage Parkinson's that I had to figure out myself because doctors only have 15 minutes to spend per patient. I take 10 different medications 8x a day.
If that was all that you wanted to know than those are my stats but you have NO IDEA who I am.
I am an irreverent joker who is ecstaticly happily married to a wonderful man for over 45 years. We have a wonderful son and DIL. I LOVE life β€ I've been all over the world and have had wonderful friends! I love dogs and walks in the park. Now I love my personal mobility chair in the park. I almost died from covid in January and February and it has sped up my Parkinson's greatly.
I write. I look at life as a gift....from God. My body is my nemesis but I have my Lord. I have a family, friends and neighbors.
I will never be 5 feet
I will never like math
I don't tolerate mean people or aHats
I will live life as hard and as fast as the Good Lord gives me!
I will love more and laugh more!
I will write more
Thank you Lord for today and I pray π for tomorrow.
The responses above pretty well sum up the appropriate reasons for mentioning past careers and awards etc This information rpovides a context for current actions. and reasoning.
Hey Lani, with respect here's my constructive contribution to the conversation. (I was so tempted to let predictive text put constipation but I didn't !)
Precisely who I am today is a man with illness, without occupation and still without qualifications. Yet full of treasure and smiling even laughing with hope in Jesus Christ ! πππππ
Ain't that the truth.
My suggestion is, if you aren't interested, don't read about it.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member if you donβt read the entries that start that added or updated story, you will end up leaving this information out, thatβs what those entries are for.
