Why are you weaning off? My doctor cut me back about half but any less than that causes sharp spasms and increases the restless legs problem. Never do it on your own. Your doctor is necessary.

Definitely talk to your Doctor who prescribed the medication. I currently take 600mg at bedtime to help with sleep. My neurologist tried upping the dose to 1800mg a day to see if it affects my tremors...(Did not)... Took awhile to wean off of the higher dose. Affected sleep, broke out in sweats etc....
DEFINITELY TALK WITH DR.

How is your withdrawal going ? Hope all is well ! Whenever I withdraw from medications it small cuts off and it takes a good while to reduce. Patience is the virtue you need to make withdrawal easier. I find myself lacking patience and am working on that.
