For my husband, his response time slowed down, his sense of space (where he was in the lane) was off, and his sense of speed was off (too fast or too slow). He was doing a lot of sudden braking, when he was slow to notice something he needed to respond to and needed to jam on the brakes to avoid accidents.

I joke about it but seriously sometimes I can't get the response from my feet like i should it gets scary at times

I stopped driving far because my arms were unable to turn the wheel (weakness), the tremors in my legs made it impossible and the medication made me sleepy. I knew I had become a risk. I only if I am able I drive within 10 minutes from home. Thankfully there is UBER for emergencies because my family members work and are available in the pm.
