Has Anyone Had Or Known About TIA’s PD
ChatGPT gave the following information:
“TIA-PD” stands for “Transient Ischemic Attack with Prodrome.” A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is often referred to as a “mini-stroke,” where the blood supply to part of the brain is temporarily disrupted, causing stroke-like symptoms that typically resolve within a few minutes to hours without causing permanent damage.
The “prodrome” aspect refers to a set of symptoms that precede the onset of the TIA itself. These prodromal symptoms may include sensations like dizziness, headaches, or visual disturbances that act as warning signs before the full onset of TIA symptoms.
I have had TIAs. I believed they were related to my migraine headaches. I would lose use of my left arm for a few minutes, up to 20 minutes. I always toughed through them. I would hook my left hand in my belt and continue on. This was over 20 years ago. I lost smell and take near the same time. I was only recently diagnosed with Parkinsonism, 2021. I'm coping. No cognitive decline yet, fortunately. I'm 74 and just renewed my driver's license. I'm enjoying my independence as long as I can. Right hand tremors and left hand crippled with contractures, oh well. Grandkids and a wife of 53 years keep me inspired.
I have had a TIA. It happened when I was out showing property (in Real Estate) and my left arm went to sleep for only a minute. I thought how weird. I shook it off & went into a model home with clients. Probably 30 minutes later I tried to speak to my clients and nothing I said made sense. It was like I "shorted" out. I couldn't put a sentence together. This lasted 30 or 40 seconds - I think. I called my husband & told him. I was a long way from home but drove myself home. The next day I called my Dr., who said to come in immediately. He sent me to Barrows straight to Barrows Neurological Center in Phoenix, AZ. I was there for 3 days but they could never find anything. I was released. Two days later on a Sunday I got sick and started throwing up and by Tuesday I could not even comb my hair. My husband took me back to Barrows. They knew immediately what was wrong. My potassium and sodium were totally out of whack. I have never been so sick in my life. So 2/3 more days in the hospital. (more to follow) jeannie Rebuck
Husband had TIA’s , didn’t know how to us the tv remote or his phone, went to the hospital and then was diagnosed with Parkinson’s , now has cognitive impairment and still doesn’t know how to use the remote or phone.
Has anyone else tried B1 and zinc for loss of smell?
