Roline, I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing. Here are some important points to consider based on my knowledge base:

- Side Effects and Complications of DBS Surgery:
- Headache
- Temporary swelling and pain at the implantation site
- Confusion or difficulty concentrating
- Seizure
- Infection
- Stroke

- Potential Issues with DBS:
- The DBS device may be turned on or off by some security screening systems, causing uncomfortable sensations or worsening motor symptoms.
- Side effects of the stimulation itself can include numbness or tingling, lightheadedness, balance and speech problems, muscle tightness, or mood changes.

- Post-Surgery Care:
- Stay in close communication with your neurologist to ensure your DBS is functioning optimally.
- It may take as long as six months of adjusting your DBS settings before you experience benefits from the surgery.

Given your symptoms, it's crucial to continue working closely with your healthcare provider to address these issues. If you experience severe headaches, fever, chills, or any other concerning symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
