Constipation is a common issue for people with Parkinson's disease. Here are some strategies to help manage it:

- Dietary Fiber: Eat plenty of high-fiber foods such as vegetables, dried or fresh fruits with peels, legumes (peas or beans), some nuts (almonds, pistachios), and whole-grain products. Switching from white bread to whole-grain, white rice to brown rice, or regular pasta to whole-grain pasta can also help.
- Hydration: Drink six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily.
- Warm Beverages: Drinking warm beverages in the morning can help stimulate bowel movements.
- Exercise: Regular physical activity can aid digestion and bowel movements.
- Medications: In some cases, laxatives may be needed. Consult with a healthcare provider for appropriate options.

These steps can help alleviate constipation and improve overall digestive health.
