Anyone Have Suggestions For Sleep Issues? My Husband, Who Has PD, Now Has Chronic Insomnia Or Awakes At 4 A.m , Often With Stomach Cramps.
Thank you! Yes, husband just bought melatonin. Worked great first night trying it.🤞🏼
I also walk 3 times a day they say exercise is the one thing that definitely helps slow down parkinsons. Tart cherry capsules from the vitamin shop prunus cerasus 2 capsules 3 times a day. Omega 3 excellent quality Nordic is really good. Curamed 1or twice a day. Black seed oil. Olive oil. 2 to 3 tsp a day. Eat at as close to same time. Cut out most sugar . learn to handle stress in a positive way . Work on getting your circadian rhythm as good as you can. These are additional things to do and investigate. I love all the other suggestions it shows me how everyone has ideas that can be helpful you have to see what ones help you. And you are not alone that also is very powerful to help deal with these challenges mentally. I like" 12 hours of easy listening relaxing sleep music flying " plays on my Google dot at a low volume. Best wishes!!
I have sleep apnea. I was diagnosed with this about 2008. I was diagnosed with parkinson's in 2019.
Shortly after that, I was told i had restless leg syndrome. My medication list grew. My husband told me several nights i was kicking him in my sleep. He told me on other nights I was singing and dancing in my sleep. Christian music, country in Western music, I think it depended on my choice of music for the day.
I took it upon myself to get off of some of the crap I was on. I no longer have restless leg syndrome
I have discovered that some of my parkinsons medication increases my insomnia
Nourianz, ongentys and in my opinion, when the neurologist has increased the rytary I am taking.

Thank you, Bruce. I just googled trazadone. Might work for hubby, who now takes Zoloft, which doesn’t help him sleep. We use a fan as well.
I need a small fan blowing on my face and trazadone 100 mg before bed.
