Good morning I feel learning to cope is a huge impact..I learn on the daily. Right now I'm doing a specific PT class and it's very difficult at times but when I accomplish one part of it or all of it its a step forward..I also feel I've taken a step back at times but keep trying and not let my emotions overwhelm me. One day at a time!! That's all I go for..Good luck in your journey as we all have different ones! Don't give in to the devil!! Have a great day take big strides and no matter what you woke up!! ❤️

I would rather ride my trike. I built it. It was shipped to me in pieces. I wanted to take my dogs, Jack & Dolly, with me. I had to find a carrier that would work with my trike. Once I found the carrier, I had to find a coupler that would attach the carrier to my trike. Because of my stroke, I have a "drop" left foot, I had to change the pedals to accommodate me. I had to purchase the appropriate shoes for the pedals. This is what my determination accomplished when I set my goal. Yes, this is my 20th year having PD. Yes, 4 years ago I suffered a right hemiplegic stroke, which paralyzed my left side. Creating & building the trike was my OT. Taking my pups for an hour's ride around our lake, or the American river bike path is my daily PT. Never sell yourself short. AK🩷

I hate PT . I always lived A very active so I didn't need extra exercise. Is falling down considered exercise? Not the fall, but the getting back up. Uses muscle you have long forgotten you had. How.cool. I soon have enough pages of copied exercises. I can paper my dining room. LOOK at the wall and do an exercize. Good pass time for when you can't swallow any more.

One of the main reasons I came to this site was that it looked intelligent and serious and that suited me down to the ground. Also by chance, a lot of people seem to post stuff about Parkinson's which is helpful for me at least.
