Anybody Have Young Onset Parkinson’s And Have Deep Brain Stimulation Would You Recommend It? If So, Why Or Why Not?
I had my DBS done in April of 2022. BEST DECISION EVER. No tremors since. Hardly any foot dragging. There are some things I wish I knew before, but definitely with it.
That I did have to shave all my hair. (I understand why but I didn't like it) there's something called a"honeymoon" period right after surgery where I was walking like normal for a week. Unfortunately I haven't had that feeling again. The DBS program can also help with speech and sleep. Your neurologist can program it in.
What do you wish you knew before?
I’m scheduled to have it September 9 and Im ready to cancel it because it’s scary!
