"What spinal conditions require surgery?
However, spinal deformity, spinal infections, trauma, spine tumors and some degenerative spine conditions, such as stenosis and herniated disks, may require surgical treatment. For the best outcome, it makes sense to consult a spine surgery team with plenty of experience"

There are non medication, minimally invasive treatments for certain reasons for the pain. I was scheduled to have the treatment when I opted instead to go into hospice. Respiratory failure stop all procedures requiring even minimal sedation. But 2 trial treatments gave 8 hrs of total the first one and 12 hrs one the 2nd one. The actual procedure is an ablation of the affected nerves. Many pain clinics do these now. But knowing what the problem is will be the first step.
Thanks Dale
