My Husband Has Orthostatic Hypotension Brought On By His Parkinsons. Do U Have Any Info On Treatments For That?
My husband was passing out or/and getting dizzy when standing. It was pretty scary, and I had to watch him like a hawk. Our doctor put him on 5mg of Midodrine 3xdaily. That helped a little while & it started again. Doctor added 1mg of Fludrocortisone, and that has helped. It does retain fluid, and his ankles & feet swell.
My husband experienced the same for about 3 yrs so we could only take minimal dose of Rytary. But for unknown reasons he can now tolerate the increased dosage.
My husband has tried droxidopa and it made it worse…probably because he stopped the 3mg Fludrocortisone a day (over the prescribing limit), 30 mg of midrodrine, and 30 mg of pyrostignine. He is getting worse. His Bp drops when he stands to 60/40 and now he is getting low-ish when sitting. He has passed out a few times and it took me a bit to revive him. I think this is pretty severe nOH. He is 68 and has had PD 17 yes. He has DBS
My husband has BP drops with dopamine meds. Only able to tolerate minimal dosage.
Hi, Judy. My husband was on Midodrine a while ago but had to go off of it as it made other symptoms worse. He takes .2 mil of fludrocortisone now but it seems like nothing is working anymore.
My Husband Has Had PD Since 2013. Now All Of A Sudden His Very High Blood Pressure Is Going Down These Last Few Months. Thoughts? Same Meds.
