Itching. With Parkinson
My dermatologist gave me Ammonium Lactate Lotion for my extremely dry skin but I did not have itching with it. It helped my dry skin a lot. Worth a try. Bean
Oh thank goodness, I thought it was just me! The dog was checkin Me for fleas!!! 😆
I have itching on mostly my upper body and head. It can be associated with Parkinson’s. I go to a dermatologist very familiar with Parkinson’s, but I also take Humira, for Ulcerative Colitis. It can also be a side effect of this.
My dermatologist has me on acouple of different rub on meds for my body itching and scalp. I find my itching is somewhat with season changes. Mostly summer for me, because of the heat. I hope you find this of interest and maybe helpful. Good luck with answers for all of you.
Anyone using Benedryl needs to check with their doctor; the drug can have interactions but the biggest danger is it has been linked to the development of dementia. It was prescribed OTC to help me sleep with my itchy back and then the doctor took me off a few weeks later because he became aware of the recent report. I use ice packs because they numb my skin and I can’t feel the itch.
Yes, I have itching everywhere at different times and places! My face itch makes me crazy--ier🙃. I tried several anti-itch creams then Benedryl tabs but I needed more than recommended dose. Dr rx hydroxyzine HCL 25 mg tab 3xd. Fabulous! I can sleep all night w/o scratching myself awake. And it is pennies per dose!!! Hope this helps someone,
