Another name for Amatadine. I can't tolerate either. Gorcovi is worse for me as it stays in your system longer.

Hi those are trade or commercial names. Perhaps if I google that I will get the chemical compound. Has it been on the market for a while?

Please give us the chemical name

Amantadine keeps me awake all night and so far the Gocorvi has only keep me awake once.
But I feel like I have had every side effect it’s labeled for, the with in a couple of days one subsided and a new one comes.
I am taking it for dyskinesia and my dyskinesia is getting bad and stiffness causing muscle spasms.
Thing is it helps but the side effects stink.
I have had loss of balance, confusion, irritability. Sleeplessness and Constipation. Thing is if lasted for more than two days I would just bring myself back off the medication and talk to my doctor, but each symptom seems to go away after a couple of days, so I’m just wondering if anybody has an experience with it.
My hope was that after a couple of weeks maybe the side effects stopped.
But I am getting the feeling this is going to be a tough one to stay on.
One more week and if it doesn’t smooth out going to go to plan Z. Which is I don’t know???
