Has Anyone Heard About A Treatment For PD Underway At Stanford University That Involves A Glove For Each Hand, Sending Vibrations
Up through the arms to the brain?
I could use the vibratig gloves on my wife. LOL
There was some information about it here several months ago in articles and on the Today show. It is still in the experimental stage, not available to the general public yet, AFAIK.
Does it pay anything by the group?
Vibrating gloves might sound like an unusual concept, but they can actually have some interesting and useful applications! 🧤
Here are a few reasons why someone might want to use vibrating gloves:
- Haptic feedback: Vibrating gloves can provide haptic feedback in virtual reality or gaming experiences, adding a sense of touch to the immersive environment.
- Assistive technology: For people with hearing impairments, vibrating gloves can be used to alert them to sounds, such as doorbells, alarms, or phone notifications, by translating these sounds into vibrations.
- Tactile stimulation: Vibrating gloves can provide gentle stimulation to the hands, which can be soothing and therapeutic for people with certain sensory processing disorders or those experiencing stress or anxiety.
I’ve seen many iterations of vibrating gloves.
