Calf Pain All The Time, Anyone???

No thanks, I already have plenty of that. Right leg in particular though also affects left. It is cramp, with the pain you’d normally associate with that. Both calves feel like they are about to cramp (that particular “tension” feeling you get) a lot of the time. Unlike when I’ve had cramp before, no amount of repositioning my legs or massaging the muscle directly has any affect.

As to solving it, I’ve tried three things;

Drink water. If you can get one of the fizzy electrolyte tablets, they help too…but make sure none of the contents have other problems. (eg iron)

Drink Bovril. This was my ex’s favoured method of alleviating (non-Parkinson’s) cramp in her feet, she used to add a teaspoon of salt to it too…I don’t as I try this more often than she did and salt is still salt!

Drink Apple Cider Vinegar. As a drink it’s a lot less palatable than the other two. I take 20-30ml and dilute it with 300-500ml water.

None of the above work reliably, but sometimes they seem to. The vinegar is best at working quickly (some research indicates that it may be the sour taste that jolts the brain into stopping the signals that cause the cramp). The Bovril takes longer (30 mins or so) but seems the most reliable of these three options.

While there are articles about this they don't exactly give any stunning remedies for this problem. "Does Parkinson's cause calf pain?
In people with Parkinson's, cramps commonly affect muscles related to movement. You are most likely to get them in your calves, feet and neck."
https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/sites/default/fil...
"What causes muscle cramps?
It is not always possible to know what causes muscle cramps.
They may be the result of:
y not moving around enough
y doing too much
y poor circulation
y dehydration
Some people with Parkinson’s say that muscle cramps happen because of something specific.
This could be sleeping in a particular position or doing an activity involving unusual muscle movement.
However, others say muscle cramps appear to happen without there being any cause."

My poor husband complained of calf pain almost every day. I did my best CNA and tried everything under the sun and sometimes the moon to help alleviate it 🫨 😵‍💫

Try looking into Dystonia. I am not a Dr but I suspect this may be the culprit.

Massaging the area helps me. Hope this helps.
Similar pain for me is nerve based—feeling like feet are on fire or walk-in on nails. Gabapantin helps
