I always try to stay positive. I love to bake. During Covid, I baked every day. I gave all the goodies away to families that were feeling down, neighbors, family. I try not to think about my PD. I'm 70 & was diagnosed 6 years ago. I retired in 2020, but they called me back in 2022 to work part-time. I have bad days & that's when I rest & relax.
Try to stay positive!

I've asked myself that many times in the past. I just turned 73, was dx 2 years ago, and by seven or 8 PM some days it's hard to keep my eyes open I'm so fatigued. And on top of that I decided to buy a new puppy which I'm picking up tomorrow actually. I think it'll give me the push I need to make myself care for something that needs me, something besides sitting around thinking about poor me. Luckily I have one of my grown kids to help occasionally when I'm unable to keep up. Even exercise doesn't always help but a lot of the time it does, sometimes emotionally and sometimes physically. I think you have to force yourself to keep moving, concentrate on something besides our own problems. I believe the answer to your question will be different for everybody who has Parkinson's, but in my case I think you cope by just taking it one day at a time, push yourself when you need to, and not overthinking. There will be bad days unfortunately, but there can still be lots of good ones too.
