Yes but I’m 73 so anything can cause a setback. I can’t blame it all on PD.

I must confess I have not been as diligent as I should have about the timing of my dosages (Sinemet). I am now on it like a hawk. My current OD dr wanted me to relax about the timing of the meds and food. Not to worry it only compromises it by 20%. Well that is more than I want to contend with. So my symptoms have lessened with my close eye to timing..

I take time to research the latest information on PD. It is amazing all the information out there on the microbiome. Numerous studies have shown that there is a close link between gut dysbiosis and PD. I have discovered that many doctors are still slow to recognize this.
I have taken it upon myself to contact someone who helps me with advice on maintaining a healthy gut microbiome. I was tested for heavy metal toxicity and I had several that were at toxic levels. I addressed that issue and within three months brought those levels down and I am feeling so much better. My goal is to wean myself off of the drugs. I have met several who have done this with success.
Do your own research and don't depend on traditional medicine for answers. They have their place and are very good at what they do but there is a lot that they do not know.
Don't give up HOPE. Maintain a positive outlook on life no matter how rough the day is. I have been in the battle for over a decade and my neurologist informed me at my last visit that I was his easiest patient!
