I don’t see how, as shingles is associated w/chicken pox infection, usually as a child. MANY people get shingles, very few get PD. Myself, I’ve had chickenpox as a child, never had shingles, but I have PD. I think they’re grasping at straws frankly.
I don't know of any connection between shingles and PD.
However, I did have a battle with shingles a few months before I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
I think it is interesting that my shingles only affected my left side and my resting tremors also started and are still predominantly on my left side.
maybe shingles are not related to Parkinson's but it seems like symptoms can become more noticeable after a viral infection of some kind
They are separate and have nothing to do with each other
