Thank you all for your replies. I have tried the cream on my shoulder and it seems to take the edge off and I will try the heating pad on my hand and see how that goes.

My pain is also dominant in my right side. My right shoulder aches and the pain moves to my elbow, and on to my hand and fingers. My heating pad seems to help.
