Has Anyone Noticed That Their Symptoms Actually Got Worse After Being Put On Carb/levodopa
I’m in my 8th year of PD and started carbidopa levodopa about 3 years ago. I was having problems with freezing, shuffling, along with a few other minor issues. All the walking problems went away. I’m starting to have walking issues again. The carbidopa levodopa seems to act inconsistently with on times and off times. I tried changing the amount I take and the time I take. Sometimes I feel that half the pills are fake. I’m still hoping I will find the right formula.
Carbadopa has been good for I walk fairly well but I credit rocksteady boxing for that but my tremors have about stopped I can tell when the pills wear off my tremors start aliitle but the restless legs can drive you up a wall so they help me but the dreams are another thing
I'm new too and yes my symptoms are worse or it's the side effects of the meds. I don't feel well at all anymore.
As my dosage of c/l was increased my symptoms became intolerable to the point of losing consciousness. My small size wasn’t taken into account. Movement Disorder Specialist determined that I cannot tolerate levodopa in any form. I am highly drug sensitive and have had adverse reactions to most Parkinson’s meds. It’s frustrating to say the least.

Before I started taking carbidopa-levodopa I was freezing up. I could not get out of a chair or walk through a door way. Now I can walk through a door way without freezing up. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones. One thing about this darn PK is we all have different symptoms.
