Do Any Of You Know How I Can Exercise My Mind. I'm Forgetting Things And Wondering If There Is A Game Or Something That Would Help Me
I prefer crossword puzzles on paper which helps me get off media and helps use fine motor skill just as apps can. I also take random quizzes in our local paper as well as researching anything of interest. Since travel is no longer an option for me I also love reading travel guides to learn more about other places. Also read a lot of historical novels at least one a week. Also dabble with
art projects. Anything that challenges your neural pathways is valuable.

I'm sorry PD is so hard on so many of us and our caregivers. I can tell you that I was awful and pretty much just waiting for God to take my breath away. But when I got lower than I had ever been in my life, I asked my doc what I could do to help myself and she set me up with a psychiatrist. She worked with me for a yr but we found the right med dose and combination to set my spirit free again. Now, I thank God for not granting my prayer and work on improving my skills and slowing PD progression. Best of all, I'm laughing out loud again, and when appropriate (lol). A wise person once told me- you can't fix anything but you sure can make it better. That sure was true for me but first, I had to identify my depression, seek help and then participate in the process of becoming my best self. I was not easy but the way I see it, if I am still going to in my life, I'm going to try to live it to the best of my ability. One important step is to accept that no doctor has the answer. There is no cure, but I can certainly make things better. With the depression lifted, I'm actually enjoying the ride.
I wish that for all of you and those you care for.

I find the Find the Difference Challenge to be a great exercise. And it is shown to be good for us Parkers.
I agree about the crossword puzzles and like to go the paper and pencil route to get away from electronics. Word search is also good. I also challenge my self by choosing a word and seeing how many words I can find using the letters in it sometimes with a time limit.Making alphabetical lists of all the flowers, animals occupations or whatever is also a good challenge.

The New York Times has a terrific assortment of puzzles. My favorite by far is Wordle. Like the game Mastermind, it involves a logical series of guesses to arrive at the right result.
