Best Phone For Someone With Parkinson's.

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need a new cell phone. My tremors make things difficult. And some days voice to text will not work for me because my voice is so weak. Can you give me any ideas?

🦉 thanks

Sing ! Sing in the shower, sing with the radio, sing in your car, be sure to sing in all levels of loud & soft. It fixes the PD weak voice.

I got a new Samsung S23 with all the bells and whistles about four months ago. I also pirchased a new Galaxy Tablet at the same time. The tablet came with it own Wi-Fi, hot spot and assigned phone number.
I'm retired and rarely go anywhere other than going to various doctor's appointments and physical therapy every week, so I may go days without picking up my phone. I do use the tablet for emails, messages, etc.. I never really cared much for talking on a phone and the tablet is a 10.1 screen and much easier to use.

Personally I have an iPhone & an iPad & I have Apple’s Magic Keyboard that opens like a book and the back part is magnetized and your iPad sticks to it. The Magic Keyboard is on the bottom side & so it’s opens & closes. The keys are indented & helps your fingers not slide off so easy. If needed I tap the microphone at the bottom of the phone or iPad & speak speak slowly annunciating each word the best I can. If I speak normally it makes mistakes, but going slow & annunciating each word the best I can. If I end a sentence I just say Period or maybe Question Mark.
I don’t think any type of phone will be easy with tremors. The letters & numbers are not too big. IPad with phone enabled is best for me.
I hope you find one or the other that will make it better for you.
Grace & Peace,
Carol

You might try the RAZ Memory Cell Phone. It has a low vision / hand tremor mode where the icons are MUCH bigger. But it is simplified and supports only voice and video calls.

Clay is pretty sure that I made one call, but I don't see how since I didn't know how to turn it on. Blessings to all and their phones that will not go away even during Blessing. Prayers and love JudyTx 🌹🫂🙏
