I Take Sinemet (levodopa/carbidopa) Three Times Per Day WITH A Meal.
Recently I have read about NOT taking sinemet with meals. The only restriction I have been doing is minimizing red meats. That's the only restriction my PA gave me. Everyone agree?
Caridopa/Levadopa-set time schedule daily and no food 1 hour before and after-noticed improvement
Read to take sinamet one half hour before taking your medicine or 90 minutes after. Should be on an empty stomach
Protein of any kind interferes with the absorption of Levadopa. Red meat and fish are obviously the biggest hitters. Here’s an article that explains how different foods affect your Parkinson’s:
