Losing your mind is unlikely. Losing sharpness is probably.

I check how sharp I am by playing several games of solitaire. I put black cards on black cards, miss obvious plays, and several other bone head things.

Some days I am actually sharp. Its a great way of judging how much you can trust yourself. If I can’t play cards correctly, I certainly can’t drive. I also shouldn’t be using power tools.

My husband says he use to think a lot about that, but says best advice is to take one day at a time, live for those special times and lean on family and friends. Prayers and hugs

Have your Neurologist add a psychiatrist to your care team.
PD is very challenging mentally find and do the things that you enjoy no matter what others say…only those that have PD know whats right or wrong for you!

A majority of people with PD get some cognitive impairment. About 30-50% end up with dementia. There is no way of knowing whether or not you will.
