I would definitely ask your doctor for suggestions. And you definitely want to get your lungs checked out immediately. Mucus has not been a problem here yet, but for myself (I am caregiver), when I get mucusy, I get something called orderless liquid garlic. I squirt it into my juice and take it for a good ten days or so. It helps a lot. If you like to eat garlic, eat a lot. Other people swear by a daily tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. You could also try rubbing Vicks on your chest before bed or having eucalyptus aromatherapy going on in the house. Also, I think that maybe oral hygiene might be related to mucus, so if you can gargle with warm salt water that may help, but make sure you can gargle safely and have someone near you so you don't choke. 🥰 Also, be extremely careful with decongestants, because decongestants interfere and react with Parkinson's meds -- if you go that route, don't do it without talking to your doctor first.
