I was diagosed with PD in June of 2021 but I believe I have had it for quite a few years. When I first started medications, my balance and walking improve dramatically. Unfortunately, it has regressed quickly. I have also developed pain in my legs. My neuro said that Parkinsons doesnt' cause pain but hesent me to a Pain Mgmt guy who gave me two shots in my lumbar spine and prescribed gabapentin. No improvement. do it. my second dr is wonderful and helps me. first group didnt seem to know how to proceeed. Find yourself a new doctor!!

Mine is a sharp pain in the quad. At PT today, the therapist suggested some strengthening exercises. Makes sense as I feel like they are very weak. When your legs hurt, you avoid walking, etc.

Changing physicians is highly recommended. Any physician who says “Parkinson’s doesn’t cause pain”. Is the wrong physician.
