Carbidopa Levodopa
How long did it take for you to feel symptoms were improving after starting the Carbidopa Levodopa? I’m not sure when to expect to feel a difference
This is my second day of meds. Pharmacist said it could take two weeks or two months to feel the effects of the medication. Has anyone taken the meds and felt better?
It took a few weeks to notice a decrease in the tremors in my hands. Much better a year later.
I had some results in 2 days. This was more of the non-motor symptoms. It has helped with my balance perhaps 70% and of course wears off until I take the next med. Occasionally my balance is gone for several hours.
I was prescribed Sinamet (spelling?). I noticed an improvement of my symptoms of tight muscles the second day and also smell. The ability to organize took several weeks. Still have tight muscles and cognitive stuff but much improved.
Thanks for your experience with Carb/Lev. Seems like I need to be a little more patient. Thanks again!
It took a while, weeks, maybe a month for me to notice the medication helping. The dose was so small at first that it made no difference. 1/4 of a tablet in the morning for a few days, then another 1/4 mid day. Few days later add another 1/4, and so on until I worked up to one whole 25/100 Carb/Lev. three times daily. That made tremor and stiffness disappear....for a while. MDS added another dose making it four times daily. Same story, helped for a while maybe a year. Now two and a half years after starting the Carb/ Lev. I'm taking 1.5 pills four times daily. My gait gets really weird, tremor, stiffness etc when it wears off. About 30 minutes after taking it I notice some relief. Usually symptoms are not noticeable to other people while the medication is working. In about three hours I start to get what I've began calling spaz hand.
Going Off Levodopa/carbodopa Intentionally
If The Carbidopa Levadopa Doesn’t Seem To Be Working What Meds Is Next
Does Using Ropinerole/Rasagiline Have As Bad Side Effects As Carbodopa/Levadopa?
