Walkers

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question đź’
Long Island, NY

I was diagnosed with PD in 2014 but it is only recently that I have had trouble walking.I have a Walker with two weeks but do not feel steady using it.One of my doctors suggested a Walker without wheels but that has to be picked up to walk with it.My Physical Therapist suggested a U-Step Neuro which has 5 wheels.
Has anyone used any of these Walkers and if so would you recommend the one you are using ?

I have used all three and by far like the ustep best! without it, i couldnt get out of my chair to walk, and its also the most stable, as far as preventing falls.

The walker I use has four wheels. It has a sturdy canvas seat and a very strong canvas back which is ideal as I can’t stand for long periods of time.. I wouldn’t be without it. It’s my saving grace when it comes to balance and the + side it folds up small like a baby buggy and fits in the car no problem.
