Can antidepressants make you shake worse? I'm taking Lexapro and having much worse cramping and shaking. Does it get any better?

Hi Cathy,
Instead of stopping the antidepressants altogether. Your doctor can change the Lexapro to another one. Some Antidepressants I could take but some I couldn’t & they just switch you to a different one. I have had depression all my adult life & have had many different ones. Depression can be debilitating & you certainly don’t need that. Don’t give up. Call your doctor. Please 💖

That is not something I have noticed. And I do take anti-depressents though not Lexapro. You should ask your doctor. There might be adjustments you could make.

While I was at Barrows Neurological Institute they were very reluctant to attribute my tremors (primary symptom) to PD while I was on psychiatric meds. I ended up having to discontinue them for a time before I got my PD diagnosis.

Any type of stress or anxiety can make tremors worse.
