How To Get A Deeper Sleep

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My mother can fall asleep really quickly but she doesn't seep to get a good, deep sleep. Instead, she spends a lot of time time talking in her sleep. Any ideas on how to help decrease the talking in her sleep so that she can get a more effective sleep?
thanks

I talk in my sleep too. I usually wake myself up doing it or reaching for something that is only in my dream. My doctor recommended SleepyTime Tea. I am too sleepy to make it most nights, but then consequently wake up talking in the night. I’m going to try harder to get the tea made and drink it before bed.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member Hi I'm glad someone else talks in their sleep. I also reach for stuff in my dreams and scream also. About scared the friends I was staying with to death. I was told that the med entacapone makes you have vivid dreams and hallucinations. also amantadine I take em both. You? Hugs rosie😊

I talk in my sleep also and I was told by a Neurologist that its caused by the medication. He said that our dreams are so vivid is why. Mine is from Amantadine, 100 mg 2x's a day. Also entacapone 200 mg 3x's a day. plus sedimet. I love to drink sleepy time tea before bed now the weather is cooler, and I also take melatonin helps. Hugs Rosie🙂
