Types O Exercise Bikes
Which is better for PD people. There are recumberent, upright, air wheels.
Which is better?? What about people with balance problems?
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, the recumbent bike is the best for just about everyone who rides a bike. Among other things your balance will be better and it's better for your posture and any back pain to which you are prone.

I agree with Ice. I thought an adult tricycle would be great , but that idea went sour when I took a bad fall. There are 2 different cycles in the garage for the next neighborhood sale. Definitely go for the recumbent bike.

I wish Harvey had consulted me before he purchased a bike for indoors. He bought a bike for racers, not even with a real seat. Of course, a recombent bike is best. Mistake #2, I thought an adult tricycle would be great for exercising and knee strengthening in the non swimming season. It was ok for
A while. Then I tried to make a turn, not realizing the limited turning radius, and over I went. Fortunately I had a helmet on which took the most serious blow. Consequently I will put up 2 vehicles at the next neighborhood sale. And finally .Harvey's added a heating system to the pool so I can exercise year round.
Yeesh, what a story!
Thanks
Mine used a recumbent bike. Works best for him.
