Tremors, Spasms,and Other Unpleasantries

Do your tremors and spasms vary in intensity and number from day to day and time of day? Somedays i shake so bad i can barely feed myself. Maybe later that same day or the next day, they are gone. The samething applies to dystonia and spasms.

Jettalyn yes mine come come in with a furry...sometimes last days and other times just a short while...the longer I have " Off Time" then the more days afterwards I am extremely worn out tired...I have horrible muscle spasms in my legs and back muscles. Artane is a mild muscle relaxer and I take it occassionally or I will use biofreeze to help relieve muscle spam pain...its always something new hon...and thats why we are all here...

I tend to have a very similar problem. Mine, however, tend to last a bit longer than you describe—usually a couple of days or longer. They also seem to increase in intensity when stressed or doing something, especially if its intense (like right now as i type). Have to remember too my primary diagnosis is moderate Lewy Body, which may explain some of the differences.

Jettalyn, I hear you, PD is tricky. It's just awful when all the symptoms appear. Then they're gone for a bit, it's hard to understand. I don't realise my hand is shaking until I go to do something and it's out of control. Does anyone ever notice that? E.g. I go to pour something or write and my hand is shaking, I didnt even realise and eventually it goes. So yes they do vary with intensity. I've lost my smell but every now and then I can smell something, I can't work it out. But know you are not alone Jettalyn x

Yes my tremors and muscle spasms/cramps are very erratic and the medication does not always help. My Neurologist has discussed and recommended me for DBS. Going through suitability tests at the moment.
