Advice About Stalevo!

I've been taking Stalevo for 5 days! It last for 4 or 5 hours! I crash quite quickly and my Parkinson's symptoms seem worse than before I was on Stalevo! Also the drug takes more than an hour to work! Is this normal and will thing improve the more I take the drug!

I was prescribed it after I seemed to run out of steam with sinemet. It’s been really good so far. Last time the neurologist also prescribed madopar and said if I ever felt a bit low to desolve one in water and wait 15 minutes he says boosts the dopermine, although I haven’t felt the need for one yet!

I take Stalevo 100mg every three hours, except for a a slightly longer gap overnight. It takes about 40 minutes to kick in. I used to take a higher dose, 150mg, much less frequently, but was getting dyskenesias and running out. Now doing very well.

Hello JenJones,im on Azilect one mg and i was told it could take up to 6-8weeks before things settle.
You are not alone though as i feel some symptoms are worse than before, and that alone is very frustrating. Remember we are all behind you. Keep smiling.😁😁
