Increased Fatigue With Mirapex Er Dose Increase
I recently increased my dose of mirapex ER 1.5 mg to 2.25 mg to try to get better pd symptom relief. I’m on day 9 and my fatigue seems to be getting worse especially in the afternoon. Will this get better or maybe the dose is too high for me? Also so far I’ve only noticed a little bit of improvement in my pd symptoms. What was a good dose for those of you on mirapex er? I took Mirapex for a couple of years or more with my first Neurologist. I gained 60 lbs. I fell asleep with food in my mouth & my husband had to watch me carefully the whole time. I kept going back to sleep after he woke me to tell me to chew my food, then he had to wake me up to swallow. I was drinking a cup of coffee talking to him & I woke up with coffee coming out of my nose & my coffee cup in my lap. It made him nervous for me to eat & he had to watch me like a hawk. I fell asleep talking to people, it was constant. My new Neurologist took me off of it my first apmt. He put me on a low carb diet that day & I lost all the weight. Be careful if taking Mirapex if you are falling asleep so easy & at odd times.
