Can Someone Explained, Taking Protein With Meds

I usally take my medication before dinner, but I read somewhere if I eat protein the medication won't work it as well, just been diagnosed all new to me.

The levodopa has to compete for absorption with proteins in food, so that is why you take it on an empty stomach. The only thing you should eat when taking this medication would be a few saltines to control any nausea you might experience. The thirty minutes before and sixty minutes after may cause a conflict in the timing of your medicine, so be mindful of that. You do not want to miss a dose. Carbs and vegetables during the day and save the protein for dinner. You may find it better to eat more frequent small meals than three big ones.

Yes, depending on your meds protein can inhibit their action. If before a meal, at least 30 minutes before. After a meal, 1 - 2 hours. (not a doctor, just one that reads a lot).
