Can Someone Explained, Taking Protein With Meds

I usally take my medication before dinner, but I read somewhere if I eat protein the medication won't work it as well, just been diagnosed all new to me.

Yes, there is limited absorption of dopamine in the intestine and so food competes with the medication for absorption. Proteins in particular attach to the dopamine/ levodopamine. So that is the reason for no food for 60 minutes before taking those meds or take meds and wait 30 minutes before eating.

I have been told that you should take carbo/dopa at least 30 minutes before you eat or 1 hour after you eat. Protein is suppose to sometimes interfere with the medicine working properly.
