Does Parkinson's Make Your Legs Weak?
His leg muscle (right leg) aches when he rests and both his legs are weak.
Even though they're both problems with his legs, they could be separate issues. I have had the weak leg feeling for years. For me, even though they feel weak, my ability to get around hasn't been compromised. It feels like it is, but when I start moving around the house accomplishing little tasks, the weak leg feeling lessens most likely from occupying my mind with something other than that weak leg feeling. Exercise has helped. I am unsure of whether it has made me any stronger or just fooled my PD brain into thinking that I am. In either case, things are better.
Ask him to think about the right leg pain. Did it start the same time as the leg feeling? Is he laying on his right side while he rests possibly making the pain worse? Is he unknowingly favoring the right leg while he moves about? Is it something that was already there but now he is more focused on? I find the restless leg to be annoying, not painful. i would share the leg pain with his doctor if you haven't already
I have had issues with my right arm for a long time. I went to a neurologist years ago and the results were inconclusive. It was the beginning of PD, no doubt.
have just googled this and its medical cannabis
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - what's CBD oil - ....coconut butter....? Cananabis? Excuse my ignorance. I was going to give a magnesium spray for restless legs at night...
Does he have restless leg syndrome? CBD oil works really well for this.
