I am on the amantadine liquid as our pharmacy was unable to get the capsules. I take it twice a day. I don't think it works as well as the pill and is not as convenient but I persevere.

Yes.I don't like the flavour - tastes like strong syrup with sugar added. I've been taking it in liquid form for about six months. In the past two months I have had extremely painful muscle spasms in my neck and right shoulder and it is now starting up in my left shoulder. I have heard from other MPT members that they have had the same or similar experience. Physiotherapy helps a bit, but not really. I started taking Amantadine in liquid form because apparently the pharmaceutical company that makes it is running out of the pills. I greatly dislike the liquid form of this drug.

Also, it is inconvenient when travelling. I recently had to travel by air to another country and large bottles of clear liquid caused a bit of delay because security had to take a sample. A letter from my doctor was not enough.
