The daughter thought she could .Made the mistake of using another word. One of my first graders turned to her Saying Ms. Betty's not cussing either !! Belive the word was vindictive, the boy that told her this said "I know all the cuss words an that ain't no cuss word."He turned around in his seat.Looked me square in the eye ,nodded his head like he was daring eitheΕ of us to say a word .Talk about someone who got choked while trying not to laugh.Ths was the same boy that couldn't read the word an tried for aweek to sound it out.The boy got on the "jet". Of course she went to her mom. This time she asked one of the others. They laughed an said so ---says it's another cuss word.Didn't take long for it to go all over school an town. One of the 12th graders said something under his voice .Laughed an said that ain't a cuss word either.Needless to say I wasn't asked to come back for another year.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. I went to an allergy /asthma Dr because I couldnt stop thls cough. He said it had to be asthma .Even after the pulmonary tests said my lungs were fine and albuteral had no effect. I told him I had PD and he insisted it had nothing to do with it. He put me on an inhaler and I lost my voice so I got off it.
When I had a colonoscopy, they had a horrible time trying to get the tubes down my throat because my throat muscles were flabby. My Dr says I have Asthma,Non allergic Rhinitis and Gerd which causes the runny /stuffy nose, and the mucous I have on my vocal cords...thus the cough. (which responds to hot tea ). I think its all PD. I went to a podiatrist because my feet hurt ,cramped all the time and my big toe has departed from the other toes. I told him about my PD and he told me that I had an inherited foot disorder an sold me orthotic that didnt work. I learned my lesson ! When I went to the eye DR I asked for one who knew about PD. It worked ! I have learned that every part of my body is effected by PD and I have to get the right Dr.
I take one Loratadine 10 mg tablet every morning. This helps a great deal.
Yes, I used to have severe mucus, but I found my cure. It turns out I have an allergy. You might also have some allergy. Mine is to wheat gluten. I found out when my 43 year old son was diagnosed as 100% Celiac. His doctor recommended all family members avoid wheat for 2 weeks to see what happens. In just 2 weeks of no bread and foods made with flour, my mucus stopped and a horrible pain in my leg which I had daily for years stopped.
I felt healed with no Parkinson's symptoms for the next six months. Since my Parkinson's seemed gone I began eating wheat again. At first nothing changed. But in 6 weeks my mucus my mucus returned and then my leg pain came back with a vengence as did other symptoms. So again I stopped all wheat foods. And in 3 weeks I was healed all over again. Go figure. Needless to say I stay away from wheat. I have had Parkinson's 22 years, but I have no signs.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - believe me, I know what you are talking about, and once burned, twice wary! Especially in the face of willful ignorance and a certain attitude permeating some authority structures. Fortunately, that was not the case with my anecdote.
I got a chuckle out of your post, but it was an ironic one. I couldn't help but think about an earlier thought for the day on getting exercise by jumping to conclusions. Hopefully there were no further repercussions that occurred for you.
