A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Myrtle Beach, SC

Is anyone on Anti-depressants here ? I am currently tapering off zoloft to get on to bupropion xl Been reading up on it and there's so many people talking about their hair falling out in clumps . I noticed my hair is a little thinner since being on zoloft I'm deathly afraid to lose All my hair . I know I need something is anyone else on this medication without this side effect?

I was on cymbalta for sometime awhile back. Now this is just me and way before I ever had symptoms of PD. And I had issues with swelling to the point where they added a water pill. I was still rather young and decided it was not the best drug for me. Felt so much better off of it.

I take prozac and i love it...i also was on zoloft and it made me so tired in fact i fell asleep while driving and just about drove into the lake with my brother thank the lord my bro was with me. I have had issues since i was 18 yrs. old with my hair falling out and i went to every dr. i could and they all pretty much told me the same thing which was go see i shrink but when i went in to see why i couldn't get pregnant they found out my thyroid was so low and that is what was causing my hair to fall out but then it was about 5 years ago it started falling out again and so i started taking biotin and it has stopped it from falling out .....

Have been on Pristina for almost 10 years. My G.P had stopped it about 8 months ago. When I went to my Neurologist he asked why I had stopped it. Told him what the my G.P. had said. He said I want you on it. It is the best for Parkinson patients. So I'm back on it.No side effects that I know of Hope you can find one that works for you.Pray your hair fills in rather fast When you see your Neurologist maybe he knows of something for your hairloss, cream or shampoo .Take Care God Bless Hugs πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I've been on most anti-depressants over the years and have now been on 300 mg/day Bupropion (in the morning) for 5 years and am free of depression with no side effects.
