What Countries Other Than The USA Are Seriously Researching And Finding A Cure For Parkinson's Disease?
Unfortunately, in today's world it seems like "finding a cure" is no longer a medical goal. Finding pills that a person must buy for the rest of their life is much more profitable. Just think how much money would be lost to drug companies if a cure was found for every disease. People would buy the cure once, then not need it anymore. The modern profit-driven method of treating disease is to develop medication that eases the symptoms only, but does not cure the cause of the disease. That way, the people with the disease spend lots more money in their lifetime buying pills. I have found many inexpensive and effective cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's and cancer looking on herbal, natural, and nutritional websites. So far, nothing on PD, yet.

Am adding you to my team. Here at M.P.T. you will meet people from all over the world that has Parkinson's
that has experienced what you are going through. We live our life as best we can with this disease.I was diagnosed March26,2012 . I also had the tendency of falling backwards when I stood. My P.T. man told me to
stand slowly with a person on each side to catch me when an lf I started to fall.Stand an lean slightly forward
Stand there for a few minutes .It is your Parkinson's that makes you feel like you want to fall backwards .Sit down wait a few minutes an do it again. Do this 10 times aday until you feel secure enough to stand up straight.Don't put a time limit on how long this takes. As we are all different it took me 6 or 7 days to stand up
straight with out having the feeling I was going to go backwards .Hope this helps with your problem.Take Care
God Bless Hugs 😃😃😃😃
Finding a cure for Parkinson's should be a worldwide event and more attention should be given in finding a cure. It is considered a secondary disease… Not something primary like cancer. We need the support of the entire world if we ever expect to find a cure. Sterling
Is the book called low carbohydrate living, my Neuro wants to try , I have been doing almost 2 mos. you do feel better the first week or two is the hardest. And yes I have had 3 slips but I don't feel as tired. The slips were sugary stuff , but all the veg and meat, no starches or junk😘But seriously it does help
Hi Sterling, the UK have many research programs going on. If you visit www.parkinsons.org.uk you will have a good idea of what is happening over here with PD. By the way, I am currently taking part in a 2 year research program run by Oxford University. Stay positive.
