Does Anyone Have Dual Tremors In Their Hands?

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hollywood, FL

While researching pd i have read that tremors, which I have in my left hand, normally stay on the side on one side. That was the first indication the doctor saw that helped him diagnose me that was just over a year ago. But lately this past two months I have been getting a few tremors in my right hand. Twice back to back in days of each other. Then a good month later at a doctor's office, holding my phone. And now today which is giving me a horrible problem typing. I'm having to go back and… read more

The nuro. Dr I go to said that some people get it worse than others . I guess like he said about PD , He had some cases that some people has it only on one side , and not very bad, just tremors and a few things that meds help and PD isn't very noticeable. other has PD on both sides or just in the hands or feet, and some all over , THATS PD>. I guess it depends , With me it is on one side for now, and If and when it happens,,, I WILL handle it with god with me we can do any thing

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member My tremors started on my left side and then eventually began in the right too, but the left is generally worse. Sometimes the meds calm both sides and sometimes the left hand is still jittery while the right is calm. I'm right handed, thank goodness. So many things affect the meds efficacy; it's always a puzzle!

Yeap!! Both hands. All tremors started on the left. Best advice I got was to stay calm. I don't take tremor meds at night. That's when I practice mindfullness and can reduce the intensiity of the tremors till I fall asleep.

Hello DonaldKrantz, some of us find a combination off meds more effective than just one for instance i take 5 different types of parky meds to get the best out of them my msin med is called Madopar which is Levadopa taken with Entacapone which lengthens the life of the L-DOPA. In total I take 20 tablets per day plus Apo-go injections and they are all just for the PD the injection help control the Distonia which although a neurological condition in it's own right for me it is a symptom of my PD. And its the one that causes me the most grief.
BB.
