Azilect
Back in March my family doctor switched me from Levodopa CR to 5 doses of immediate release. I had my doubts if the 1 mg of Azilect was helping me or not. At this point, I find that frequently when I am not moving that I am fighting the urge to shake. At this point I am wondering how Azilect helps you.
I was on Sifrol and then they added Azilect which helped for a while, then slowness of movement was obvious so they added Madopar. Been on it nearly 2 years and have been great... but have to wonder (and will ask in Dec for my 6 monthly) wheather I should b on all three or just Madopar.. one can only hope.... BUT EVERY DAY I WAKE UP is a GOOD DAY........... cheers John,,,, Keep smiling don't give up... and when you feel like giving up take 3 more steps.. and then kick Parkinsons in the ass... Don't I repeat Don't give in.... we will survive
The way I understand it is that the Azilect retains the Levadopa in the system. In other words it makes the Madopar last longer. Talk to your neurologist at your next check up. Keep on smiling.
I started on Sifrol ER in 1998, later Madopar was added & then Azilect. I am on 1 Madopar 100/25 three times a day. This dosage suits me but all patients react differently so talk to your Neurologist.
I was put on azilect one first thing AM and [[treatment:stalevo:55d552481fcaa30c[[phone:37000045]] 3:]] a day .
Seems ok but it's a lot better than I used to be.
Thanks John ☺
