There have been times in the past, when I have wanted to throw in the towel but the determination not to let Parkie win, is so strong, that I fight back stronger than before. I will not surrender to Parkie, for myself and for those who support and love me. Let's fight Parkie together and claim our victory!

As a 70 yr old who has suffered from depression for 50+ years, I have had to become a contortionist to be able to give my own self a kick in the seat: to be able to face another day. Some days the kick has been very weak, and some days it was so powerful that I didn't need another for a few days. Our "kick" will be different for each of us. I, have now, this past 7 months, moved into a camper: living a make-believe pioneer life and I am doing better than I have in years! Thank God. What I am trying to say is that a life REQUIRING that I get up and get going has been the best "kick" I have experienced since I enjoyed being "wonderfully required" to care for our 4 children. I love it! This has been a life-time dream that I can and am doing. I could never hike the Appalachian Trail (another dream - but believe me it has always remained a dream that I have enjoyed BUT I've always known it would remain a dream.) This one I am living; not like I could have 30 years ago but I'm satisfied.

I agree with Cherie. Some days it's so hard to pull myself out of bed. But I have an 8 yr old to get out the door. I do have a very caring and loving husband who often lets me sleep in. But you just have to tell yourself this disease is not who you are. It's merely a stumbling block in the road of life. Good luck and God Bless!

Some days are harder than others and it would be so easy to throw up my arms and declare " that's it, I have had enough, you win Parkie, I quit fighting, " but do we really want Parkie to win?. now that's a big NO. so we keep fighting. I am more determined than I have ever been and I am not ready to give in to that despicable Parkie. so Eastender hang on to your stubborn streak and keep up the fight. every good day is another win for us
