Sleeping
I have started to have trouble sleeping at night. I get up in the middle of the night. Sometimes I have a hard time going back to sleep.
I take my Clonopin nightly. Sleep 8 hrs. I don't care if I get addicted to it. If it helps why not? I'm sure it will not help me eventually but I take one day at a time.
if you are on any form of L-dopa, dopamine enhancer or Azilect, you may want to ask your provider to have you take it or them no later than 3:00 p.m. Early on in treatment these make most people sleepy, but later on they can be stimulating. Also check to see if doctor thinks it would be safe to take Valerian or Melatonin at bedtime or if you can't get back to sleep. All the best.
Hi, I've had sleeping problems for years. I've tried Benadryl, Melatonin, Clanozapam. and a bunch of PM pain killers such as Advil PM, Tylenol PM and so forth with no luck. My GP recently had me try Trazodone and to my surprise it's working. I'm a little cautious of writing this because I'm afraid my body will adjust to it and it will no longer be affected. It's been years of short, restless sleep and I'm enjoying this. I've had Parkinson's for 20 years and I'm currently on carbidopa/levadopa, and amazalin 4 times a day. To have my sleep back is truly a miracle.
Melatonin is good
I started REMERON. Stopped KLOPIN. TOO MANY SIDE EFFECTS.Seems to be working.
