I have the same problem. At night moy legs wou)d spasm-doesn't really hurt but it keeps me awake. I could kind of control it by rolling on my side and putting one foot on top of the other , until I fell and broke my hip and couldn't sleep on my side anymore. What I take and I think it's working is magnesium.. I started out taking 250mg of magnesium oxide before bed. When I was in rehab for my broken hip the spasms were coming on the broken side only, and every 10 seconds for 5 hours one night. I don't think I had been getting my magnesium from the nurses for a few nights so I insisted I get some and I got 400mg going forth. I tried cutting a 250mg tablet in half, but gave up and now just take 2 25ā°MG tablets. It has considerably reduced the episodes of spasms.
I also take one tablet of sinemet CR when I get in the middle of the night; that might also be affecting the problem.
