How To Dress
are we to dress differently, shoes, slippers, pants, everything?
There are certain types of clothing/shoes that are encouraged for safety reasons, e.g., I would refrain from wearing shoes with a high heel due to the risk of falling. I would suggest comfortable clothing that is somewhat loose fitting for easy movement. Just common sense attire. Now you don’t have to wear clothing that looks like you are telling the world, “look at me, I have PD.” I am a fashionista but I make sure that what I am wearing is in the best interest of my safety. I hope this makes sense.
There’s a lot available that also makes dressing easier. I use tops and sweaters or dresses that pull over my head. No buttons or snaps to fiddle with. Pants with elastic waists and shoes with no slip soles. I can still look well put together with a little less effort.

I wear Kizik shoes. The only thing I don't like about them is they weigh too much. It makes my legs tire easily.
I wear tshirts and pants with elastic waists. I also wear tennis shoes that have Velcro closures on them so I can slip them on and off my feet.
I am a huge fan of elastic! I also have the Sketchers brand of tennis shoes/slip ons that don't require bending, tying or velcro. Sweaters and t-shirts are great but for a dressier occasion I do like a button down blouse. That being said I have pre buttoned my blouses leaving maybe one button undone so I can get it over my head. If I need help with one button it is easier than trying to do 7. Keep it simple 👌
