Sleeping
The doctor put me on a stronger senemet at night 50/200er also trazidone, clonazapam, and I take melatonin. I have no problem falling asleep. But staying asleep is impossible. I wake up in a panic gasping for air some nights others such as tonight woke up at 3 am wide awake.
That's really pretty severe sounding for you I'm sorry you have to go through that. Shortness of breath that I had for nearly a year turned out to be the medication which I still take but take it differently it is carbidopa Levodopa ER and carbidopa. Was doing well in the pharmacy gave me a different manufacturer for the carbidopa l and for three months I've been having some side effects that wake me up around 4 AM so I'm working on getting all that out of my system
Have you had a sleep study done? Sleep Apnea will prevent you from getting into REM sleep ,you wake up feeling aweful or not sleeping at all. It is worth getting checked out.
I had major sleep issues for a long time. Tried various prescription drugs to try to address it. Finally got a prescription for Ambien and sleep 90% better. I know all the side effects but sleeping just about every night is worth to me. May not be for everyone.
I am also usually up at 3:00 am. Also taking Trazidone(150 mg), and Stalevo. no solutions yet. Don't give up.
I get up at 3 to go to the bathroom. I usually go back to sleep but on nights I can't, I post on MPT. It's amazing how many of us are awake at that hour. I am usually up until 5 then put the iPad away and close my eyes. I. Will take a nap during the morning I take senemet 25/ 100 SR and 025 mirapex at 10 pm. Maybe the med you are on couldcause it.
